Responsibilities

Technica is seeking a Web Developer to provide software development services in accordance with the customer's software development methodology and their Agile work management methods. Perform systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design, systems development and enhancements, implementation, integration, service delivery assessment support, testing and verification as well as systems maintenance support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business process issues and/or problems and provide consulting assistance to system users and business owner; conduct research on possible solutions and make recommendations based on findings; develop proposals that outline feasibility and costs; suggest, design, test, implement and evaluate solutions.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis to obtain information for the addition of new capabilities, system expansion, upgrade, system migration, infrastructure impact, conversion to new architectures, impact on business processes, and implementation of standards on an as needed basis.
  • Develop system designs, map and maintain traceability of the requirements to design and identify major components and interfaces of the system. Determine the impact on workflow processes and develop testing strategies, test cases, and test plans on an as needed basis. The candidate will include system security, privacy, and audit requirements in this process.
  • Translate the system specifications and detailed design documentation into program code. Software enhancements consist of requirements identification and analysis, program/module coding, testing and corrections as required.
  • Prepare a test plan to include test scenarios, create test data, conduct functional tests, and document the test results.

This opportunity will be 100% on-site in our Patriot’s Plaza II (PPII) location in Washington, D.C.  The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts.  Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time.  Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance. 
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical discipline, and/or equivalent education and experience.
  • 8 years of related development experience
  • Five years of experience building user interfaces for web applications and websites
  • Must have experience with the following:
    • Front End development
    • React
    • Java
    • Open Source (i.e. Linux) background
  • Prior experience conducting analysis to obtain information on system capabilities, expansion, upgrade, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience developing system designs, mapping and maintaining traceability of the requirements to design.
  • Experience translating system specifications and detailed design documentation into program code.
  • Prior software testing experience.
