Responsibilities

Technica Corporation is looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect SME to support our government customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be responsible for:

  • Developing strategies for cloud-based platforms.
  • Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
  • Developing and designing solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.
  • Designing automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.
  • Project completion.
  • Performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

The selected candidate will act as the highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. This position may also lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.

Position is a on-site opportunity at Patriots Plaza II in Washington, D.C.  The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts.  Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time.  Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Requirements

  • Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors’ degree in a technical or engineering discipline, and/or the equivalent education and experience
  • 10 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and certifications that demonstrates ability to perform at this level
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives
  • Has proven domain and expert technical knowledge
  • Prior experience initiating, supervising, and/or developing requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
  • Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
  • Demonstrated experience with detailed analysis, evaluation and providing recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
  • Prior consulting work with clients to define needs or problems and develop solutions
