Responsibilities

 

Technica Corporation is seeking a dynamic, Contracts Administrator/Specialist to support the Contracts Department. Takes full charge of all contracts-related assignments for successful execution; thoroughly researches any matters related to employment, contract, intellectual property, and corporate law. A successful candidate will have exceptional time management, attention to detail, organizational, communication skills, and the ability to identify and solve issues quickly and efficiently.

 

The position will be located in Sterling, VA and is an onsite role. The final approved work schedule arrangement will be coordinated with the hiring manager. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for drafting and editing non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
  • Review and provide input to statements of work, proposals, and purchase orders.
  • Assist the department with policy document creation, including for employment law topics, intellectual property topics, and general corporate/contract law.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager to coordinate all matters in process for the Legal Department.
  • Support the proposal, BD, PM and Finance departments with contracts related work.
  • Will participate in contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Answer questions and provide interpretation of contractual language and provisions to internal personnel.
  • Review and/or complete other contracts, administrative and legal tasks as needed, including for vendor and consulting relationships.
  • Maintain and update a weekly electronic status report of transactions in process and completed.
  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts, task orders and subsequent amendments.
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
  • Monitors company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education and experience combination
  • Minimum of 2 years of government contracting experience
  • Experience with legal writing and research
  • Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)and procurement process.
  • Proven hands-on experience with drafting and negotiating contract documents, including teaming agreements and services agreements and license agreements.
  • Prior experience with administering the contract closeout process

Desired

  • 5+ years proven experience with government contracting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
