Responsibilities

Technica Corporation is seeking to fill a Cloud Developer II position to support our FBI team in Chantilly, VA.  The Cloud Developer II candidate Continuously evaluates available services and makes recommendations to the government on strategies for implementation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategies for failure/recovery
  • Cost optimization
  • Benefit analysis of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-premises services
  • 8 years of experience developing comprehensive and innovative technical solutions with at least 1 year experience with 1 of the 3 major cloud service providers (Amazon, Microsoft, or Google).  
  • Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform. 

 

This is a Hybrid position. The government has established policies for on-site vs remote work which varies across divisions and contracts.  Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time.  Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline with 5 years of experience.
  • Associate level certification is a substitute for 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience with AWS services, specifically CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS
  • Experience with Python and/or JavaScript (specifically NodeJS interactions for Lambda)
  • Experience with Bash & PowerShell scripting

Desired

  • Experience with Docker and AWS ECS
  • Experience with Windows IIS
  • Programming Languages: Java, HTML, JavaScript, C#, .NET Suite.
  • AWS Suite with Lambda
  • Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, REST, JSF, Hadoop, HIVE, AngularJS, ReactJS, AWS Services (S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Code Commit/Build/Deploy/Pipeline, ECR, ECS)
  • Software/COTS: NetOwl NLP, Solr/Elasticsearch, Accumulo, Hadoop, Apache Storm, Docker, Apache
    NiFi
