Technica Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator lll to join the DANS Team at Scott, AFB, IL.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates, installs, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented hardware products through their entire life cycle.
  • Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
  • Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
  • Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
  • Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.


  • Active Secret with TS/SCI Eligibility
  • High School diploma and 5-7 years of relavant experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing solutions on bare metal, virtual, cloud, and/or hybrid infrastructures
  • Experience engineering, installing, and maintaining SAN, NAS, and DAS solutions
  • Experience engineering, implementing, and maintaining out of band management solutions for servers and network infrastructure
  • Experience working with stakeholders to analyze requirements
  • Experience with building and adminstrating Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
  • Experience with TCP/IP, switches, routers, VPNs, routers, and firewalls
  • Experience with VMware 6+
  • Familiarization with applying NIST standards (800-53, 800-171) and STIGs
  • Familiarization with engineering and implementing cloud and hybrid solutions



  • Bachelors degree and 5-7 Years of equivalent work experience
  • VMWare Certifications
  • SANS Certifications
  • Industry Storage and Server Implementation Certifications
  • Experience with COTS or open source Network Security Monitoring Solutions
  • Familiarization with Jira, Confluence, Bro/Zeek, Suricata, and Moloch
  • Familiarization with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum


  • Certification 8570/8140 IAT II (required within 6 months)
