Technica Corporation is seeking a Unified Communications (UC) System Administrator to support our San Antonio Team.  The Unified Communications (UC) System Administrator supports our customer events to include (but are not limited to): tests and evaluations, operational and technical assessments, engineering spirals, exercises and training, innovation activities, cyber events, demonstrations, and experiments.


  • Provide installation, loading, and configuration of systems, servers, and virtualized systems 
  • Provide system administration services to customer for events and other activities
  • Responsible for administration of Core Services [including administration of user accounts, passwords, permissions, access control lists, email, chat and other server or network services]
  • Develop workflows, customize, implement, and maintain applications as needed
  • Maintain virtual environment, servers and clients, creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures functionality of all external links
  • Develop SOPs and provide training on existing and new technologies to Government personnel to support VoIP and dVTC systems. This is informal office training. Provide process and operations guides 
  • Provide technical expertise in analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of applications with a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills. Provide technical expertise in: Unified Communication Manager, Instant Messaging Presence Server (Jabber), Akkadian Contact Manager and Cisco Meeting server.
  • Perform and document Preventative Maintenance Inspections on all Unified Communication systems. All PMIs will be actions will be documented in the ITSM. 
  • Responsible for applying security lockdowns on all customer equipment in accordance 690 ISS and DEO guidance



  • Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred  or  Secret clearance with approval from Customer, with Top Secret/SCI Eligibility.
  • Associates degree or HS and 6+ years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience providing operational and daily support to maintain and manage various systems and networks
  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing & Switching (ENG/SME) and Unified Communications (Voice/Video)
  • Other duties as assigned


  • DoD/DIA/Air Force System Administration Experience



  • CompTIA Security+ CE
