Technica is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the JWICS Enterprise Program in San Antonio, TX.  The Systems Engineer will develop technical solutions, guidance, and expertise for a variety of software and hardware tasks, including: installation, removal, maintenance, configuration management, and restoration on a wide variety of computer platforms.  Such computer platforms  to include, but not limited to: MS Active Directory (AD), MS Exchange, MS System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Virtual Environment, Storage (SAN/NAS/DAS), Enterprise Backup, End Point-Security Tools, Patch Management Tools, Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA), Network Security Auditing Tools, Network Security Auditing Tools and IA security tools. Technical Working Group (TWG) Support to the ESMT, 4 ESCs and regional sites and 30,000+ users. Collaborate with designated Government lead and AF BluSCI Engineering and Development Team network and system engineers to ensure conformity to Enterprise network and system standards.


  • Software testing, configuration and installation and management of software integration lab staff.
  • Manage, install and configure SIL resources to support unit, integration and development test events, and ensure that the required test environment is available in the SIL. 
  • Leads the execution of test events performed in the SIL.
  • Supports formal development and operational testing performed by Government test organizations (46th Test Squadron and 346th Test Squadron).  




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field – OR Equivalent direct related experience and Minimum 8 years of experience.
  • Active Top Secret SCI Clearance
  • Provide systems engineering development and support services for a highly virtualized ESC and AF BluSCI environment; physical servers exist at each ESC for virtual hosting, management, and other services.
  • Provide insight on Enterprise network components and configurations front-end and back[1]end. Coordinate/collaborate with Engineering and Development Team engineers to establish Enterprise solutions through development and documentation of requirements.
  • Develop & use build guides and appropriate documentation IAW the CCMP for deployment and administration of system assets, configuration, performance, and security through the use of systems administration toolsets and functions. 
  • Direct and support the set-up, planning, and implementation of the system management environment to support client deployments, security patch management and schedules, application deployments, automation scripts, inventory reporting, and all other aspects of the systems management environment at the respective ESC or OL to include future expansion and increase in growth.
  • Analyze existing AF Enterprise Systems infrastructure and make recommendations and/or provide engineered solution for optimization. Review and make recommendations for all assigned Change Requests.
