Technica is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager in support of DoD Data Science, analytics, and AI programs. Primary work location is Technica Headquarters, Dulles VA. The Program Manager must not only be exceedingly capable in managing a large program, he/she must also be experienced with data strategy, governance, agile algorithm solutions, data preparation and architecture. The primary role will be leading data analytics and AI/ML related programs reporting to the Director of Operations. This leader will have the opportunity to help shape the strategy and direction of the technical data analytics capability area to include support of new business pursuits.


Location: Washington DC Metropolitan Area preferred.  Will consider virtual (outside Washington, DC Metropolitan area) for the right candidate.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs planning and management of single or multiple projects and retains overall
    responsibility for the performance including the cost, schedule, deliverables, and contract
  • Responsible for overall success of the project (s) and ensures goals and standards are successfully implemented
  • Serves as liaison to government and outside representatives, and coordinates activities of support personnel
  • Works with subcontracting partners to execute task orders on the IDIQ
  • Supervises staff and ensures customer satisfaction for task order delivery
  • Provides overall program management support of task orders
  • Leads, builds, manages, and motivates the contractor team
  • Manages the engagement financials and budget
  • Creates and manages the engagement Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) (inclusive of all support services such as contract and program management, operational support, engineering, capability integration, testing, security, logistics, and asset management)
  • Manages engagement risks
  • Ensures quality delivery
  • Reports overall program status as required


  • Specialized experience required includes:
  • Complete project management from inception to deployment
  • Proven expertise in the management and control of funds and resources
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or managerial discipline
  • Nine (9) or more years’ experience in program management
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in leading data science program efforts with large teams in an Agile environment (10 or more reports) in a DoD project (Secret or higher) environment.
  • Minimum DoD SECRET clearance required
  • Relevant program management certification (PMP or equivalent)
