Candidates should be able to apply technology and innovation to build support agency mission-critical applications from vision to production-ready product; lead modern software development practices and technologies, including Agile, DevSecOps, cloud, containers, and microservices; and partner with Chief Systems Architect and Security Systems Architect in providing technical thought leadership and driving relevant innovations.



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to achieve secret clearance, criteria will include:
    • 3-year check for felony convictions
    • 1-year check for illegal drug use
    • 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • BS in technical discipline (computer science, cyber security, math, engineering, etc) with 7 years experience or a MS with 5 years experience or PhD with 1 year experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect and Technical Lead
  • 4+ years of experience with services, including middle-tier, microservice, or web services design, development, and operations
  • 3+ years of experience with agile design and development in a serverless environment
  • 3+ years of experience with leading product line development with DevSecOps and delivery pipelines and developing, sustaining or integrating with simulation, training, and instrumentation platforms
  • Hands on Experience with Chef/Puppet/Ansible
  • Hands on Experience with Python/C/C++ (Some sort of high-level programming language)
  • Hands on Experience with Angular
  • Hands on Experience with RHEL & BASH scripting
  • Hands on Experience in a Linux development Environment
  • Hands on Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
  • Hands on Experience with Versions controls systesm such as GIT/SVN/CVS
  • Experience with ELK/Elasticstack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) storage, visualization, analysis, search of data
  • Familiarity with Powershell
  • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture Amazon NoSQL database, Amazon Lambda, JSON, Microservices, RESTful services, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and serverless architecture solutions
  • Ability to develop software solutions from ideation to production, including scalable, and elastic microservices-based platforms
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other Virtualization and Containerization technologies and strategies
  • Experience with managing a code base as if it were open source
  • Experience with developing and driving cross-cutting capabilities or solutions
  • Experience leading Code Review
  • Knowledge of benchmarking and optimization
  • Ability to be well-versed in modern engineering, software development techniques, methods, and technologies



  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND - ACTIVE SECRET clearance or higher
  • Experience with cloud program shaping and capture
  • Experience with managing ISO 9000.-1:2015 and CMMI-DEV 3 or higher quality project standard
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications
